Vote YES May 8th to Protect Marriage

“But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh:so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Mark 10:6-9, KJV) The Christian Party of North Carolina is encouraging all voters in North Carolina to vote “Yes” on May 8th to protect marriage. On May 8th the voters of North Carolina will be given an opportunity to place an amendment in the NC State Constitution protecting the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. As Christians we know that we must return to our Biblical foundation as a nation to be in the Lord’s will. In response to that, the Christian Party of North Carolina is teaming up with other organizations that are part of the Vote For Marriage NC Campaign (www.voteformarriagenc.com) to accomplish the goal of protecting marriage in North Carolina. To support this effort our national organization, The Christian Party of America (www.ChristianPartyonline.com), has declared May 8th as a nationwide Day of Prayer and Fasting for the North Carolina Marriage Amendment vote, to humbly seek the Lord’s blessing to empower His people to successfully stand for Christian Principles. So please vote “Yes” May 8th and also join with us in prayer and fasting for that day to protect traditional marriage. In addition to your prayers, please forward this announcement on to all of your friends, encouraging them to begin to pray now in preparation for the May 8th vote in North Carolina. We ask that everyone begin to pray as soon as they hear about the May 8th vote and then to have a special focus on prayer and fasting during the actual day of voting on May 8th, praying that the vote will successfully protect our Christian view of marriage in North Carolina. We especially would ask that you help get out the vote by encouraging the people you know in North Carolina to vote “Yes” on May 8th for the Marriage Amendment. Thank You.

There is a "LGBT" storefront downtown on Hillsborough Street with flyers in the window promoting "Vote Against" and "Protect NC Families". Where's the "conservative" storefront?? If you wonder why votes on some issues go the way they do, it's because we're allowing it to happen.

Excellent point....as a nation we have allowed the left to run the show, but hopefully with God's help we can take back this country.

Bob, I've wondered that myself. There is a Vote No FaceBook page but not a Vote Yes one. And a petition flying around on FaceBook today to sign "Paul Coble does not Speak for us". Where is the petition to sign that he does?

Has anyone seen a "Vote Yes" sign to place in our yards. I've just heard from my "Vote No" friends that they will be placing a sign in their yard. I would love to place a "Vote No" sign in my yard if there is such a thing.

Vote for Marriage NC has raised 1m in support of the ammendment, while the left's organization (can't rmember the name) has raised double that. The news media's attention on reasons to "vote against" have been quite disproportionate to reasons to "vote for." No surprise there. But it's not going to matter. The ammendment will overwhelmingly pass, regardless of how many "vote against" bumper-stickers these people are putting on their cars next to their "Kerry-Edwards 08" bumper-stickers.

You can post signs all you want, but I think the opposing side is going around and taking them down. Also, I've noticed a lot of California license plates driving around Raleigh lately. I'm hearing a lot of folks are in NC now to support the convention and are taking the opportunity to get involved locally. I might be wrong, but chances are...

Im not so sure about "overwhelmingly", or even if its a sure thing that it will pass. Realistically, the Triangle area is lost IMHO. Nevertheless less I will still get my vote in. Can only hope that the word is out in the rest of the state and there will be a strong "traditional" turn out in the rest of the state. IMHO there will likley be MANY young people who coud not vote or have a car to put a Kerry sticker on back in '08 that will be voting against on 8 May.

And just to put a finer point on it, from the NC board of Elections site:

Voter Registration as of 05/02/2012 Democratic: 2,733,941 Republican: 1,974,740 Libertarian: 13,743 Unaffiliated: 1,569,212 Total: 6,291,636

Now, not every democratic vote will be against, but...

I agree Bob, and it looks dismal in the downtown neighborhoods of Oakwood, Glenwood Brooklyn, Mordacai, etc. There are "Vote No" signs on every corner and in front of half of the homes. The amendment will have a tough time against Wake, Orange, Durham, Chatham, and Cumberland Counties, out in Wilmington, Asheville, and Charlotte. Most of the population centers are going to go against it. I hope it passes, but I am far from certain. We are not educating the voter, we're hoping for the best.

Correct. Just google on "NC early voting" and look at the first link that comes up . Spoiler: it's not voteormarriagenc.com. I also like the way that there is usually a pro-Obama banner at th top of my Roadrunner webmail page. Haven't seen a conservative ad yet. So much for equal time.

During the 2010 Republican Primary, on Record, I was the ONLY U.S. Congress Candidate for the North Carolina 4th U.S. Congress District, who was publically AGAINST Gay Marriage, and AGAINST Same Gender Civil Unions. The RINO'S of the so-called North Carolina Republican Party, during 2010, favored A PRO-GAY MARRIAGE CANDIDATE whose nick name is "B.J.," where through my efforts in 2010, as well as now in 2012, the George Hutchins Campaign was CENSORED-BANNED by the RINO's of the so-called NC GOP.

yup, we just keep hoping it will change, that things will get better. They can get better, but not the way we are allowing the RINOs to control the message and the momentum. The RINOs thing that if we just give a little, then we'll get something in return. Ain't going to happen. We have to have a strong argument, strong and consistent message, and we have to get out there and actually have the conversation. Until we get organized and make it happen we are expecting liquid to go up a rope.

Yes, these RINOs mentioned are the PAID STAFF at the NC GOP, who should all be replaced by NEW PAID STAFF. The RINO Problem dates back to before the 2008 elections where the PAID STAFF NC GOP dictate who is CENSORED-BANNED by the NC GOP, and all other actions elected staff and volunteers take, due to being around for years, due to FENCE-RIDING, as volunteers and elected NC GOP staff come and go. It was these same PAID STAFF who supported a Pro-Gay Marriage U.S. Congress Candidate: 2008-2010.

We have no one to blame but ourselves. The only way we are going to get the representation we want is to organize and act, otherwise we will continue to see our own "Sen. Lugar's" representing us. Right now, the NC GOP really thinks the way to stay in office is to present an "intelligent, balanced, thoughtful" approach, rather than a Constitutionally correct and Conservative approach.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH, RINO FENCE RIDING, and ELITISM, are the points, and in spite of their Groundless Excuses, these PAID LONG TERM STAFF of the so-called North Carolina Republican Party should be FIRED, for WRONGFUL BANNING-CENSORSHIP, and NEW Paid North Carolina Republican Party Staff should be employed, in their places. The Current WRONGFUL BANNING-CENSORSHIP of Good GOP Candidates within North Carolina, harms the interests of REAL NORTH CAROLINA REPUBLICAN VOTERS, www.georgehutchins.com

During 2010, I ran AGAINST a PRO-GAY MARRIAGE U.S. CONGRESS CANDIDATE, who was endorsed by the so-called North Republican Party, due to, Long Term PAID STAFF, who direct the actions of volunteers and elected staff 'who come and go,' while taking their clues from the LONG TERM PAID STAFF. My 2010 Campaign business cards said, "AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE." These LONG TERM PAID STAFF at the so-called NC GOP, are a source of Fence-Riding, Banning-Censorship of good candidates, and harm REAL REPUBLICANS.

Bob, I voted Yes. Your no vote was actually the one for sharia, because under sharia people cannot practice their religion freely and will be persecuted if they try to do so. A Yes vote for the marriage amendment ensures that we can continue to practice our religion freely, and not be forced to have our children taught in public schools that homosexuality is normal and natural in or out of marriage, and not be forced to perform homosexual marriages in our churches.

So just to be clear, that's a different Bob :)

If two people want to present themselves at City Hall & walk out with a legal piece of paper, more power to them. That's NOT marriage.

My guess is you have one of those "Equal Rights" bumper stickers (the yellow equals sign). Today that really means "let anybody do anything they want without consequences", it has little to do with "rights".

Go spend some time in a county that REALLY restricts your freedom & then see how you feel.
