If by two options you mean open carry and concealed carry, I strongly recommend concealed carry. You can carry a firearm openly in NC, but that lets everyone, especially the "bad guys", know your secrets, and I believe it increases your chances of getting shot if you happen to be in a store someone tries to rob. It also makes some people who know nothing about firearms nervous and think you're a "dangerous gun nut".
